Have you ever wanted to bike on water? The idea has likely never crossed your mind, just like it never actually crossed ours…but it apparently has to somebody: the folks behind the Manta5, the world’s first hydrofoil bike.
The Specialized S-Works Turbo Levo isn’t your typical mountain e-bike. And by that, we mean it’s actually looks like a mountain bike, and not an e-bike. Sure, there’s a small motor and battery compartment hidden in the bottom of the frame, where the pedals reside, but other than that, there’s nearly no indication that this bike has any kind of assistance.
You can get every kind of E-bike you’d like these days, whether it’s a cyclocross with a motor or a tricked-out fat bike. But few look as cool as the Scrambler S from the aptly-named Vintage Electric, which looks just like a vintage motorcycle – the kind Marlon Brando might have ridden in an old 50’s movie. Vintage Electric actually intends it more for offroading in the dirt, making it a sort of vintage electric dirtbike.
There’s an e-bike for just about every situation these days, whether you wish to start shredding some trails or just take a relaxing ride through the neighborhood. But while most electric bikes give the impression of being…well, electric-powered bikes, the Trek Crossrip+ is a bit different. It’s not so much an E-bike as it is a road bike with an additional, incredibly efficient electric motor.
