Last year, Ohio-based Allite announced what could be the next big thing in bikes: Super Magnesium, the alloy that’s 33% lighter than aluminum and as strong as carbon fiber. With bikemakers always seeking to make their frames lighter without compromising strength, a material with those properties could be a winning recipe.
Bikes that can convert from one use to another, already exist. But few do it as nimbly and easily as the Canyon Strive – which requires nothing more than the flick of a lever to let you instantly convert it from a 150mm downhill dweller to a 135mm XC racer.

Cullinan might not be the most appealing name for a car, but this is Rolls-Royce, so they can call it whatever they want. The Cullinan is named after the world’s largest Diamond, and is a 6.75-liter, twin-turbo V12 beast that is capable of churning out a massive 563 horsepower, all of which is channeled into an all-wheel drive, all-wheel steer system for a top speed of 155 miles an hour. Rolls-Royce’s said their rationale in creating the Cullinan was in response to how boring and everyday they’ve become; their director of design, Giles Taylor, says that “the label SUV is now applied to anything with a two-box silhouette and the least suggestion of going off tarmac.” So instead, Rolls-Royce came up with “an authentic, three-box, all-terrain, high-bodied car with a convention-challenging design and absolute capability that would satisfy the adventurous urges of our clients.”
You can get every kind of E-bike you’d like these days, whether it’s a cyclocross with a motor or a tricked-out fat bike. But few look as cool as the Scrambler S from the aptly-named Vintage Electric, which looks just like a vintage motorcycle – the kind Marlon Brando might have ridden in an old 50’s movie. Vintage Electric actually intends it more for offroading in the dirt, making it a sort of vintage electric dirtbike.

The VW Atlas was only released last year, but it’s already a major hit here in the States. So it’s no surprise to see both a Cross Sport and a pickup concept being teased. Currently, VW has no plans to actually produce the Atlas Tanoak truck (we think it’s named after the California tree, but really have no idea), which is sad, really. It’s a beauty of a truck and seeing how much we already love VW’s, we’d love the chance to drive one into the desert.
There’s an e-bike for just about every situation these days, whether you wish to start shredding some trails or just take a relaxing ride through the neighborhood. But while most electric bikes give the impression of being…well, electric-powered bikes, the Trek Crossrip+ is a bit different. Everybody's favorite electric car maker has just released their newest model, the Tesla Roadster, that they claim is going to the fasted production car ever made, and will go from 0-60 in a mere 1.9 seconds. That is, as they claim, very fast. It has a claimed range of 620 miles - almost twice that of the Model S. These stats might sound a little crazy, but seeing as how the Model S can hit 0-60 is as little as 2.4 seconds, it's really not all that unbelievable.
Mazda just unveiled their latest and greatest concept car at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show, and it’s something to look forward to. The new Mazda Vision Coupe is a car for those trying to move to the future, but without breaking the bank. With a design reminiscent of those found in action movies, where spies engage in furious car chases - and inevitably get the beautiful girl - it’s even larger than the already-large-for-a-car Mazda 6, but is painfully beautiful with a look that is unmistakably Mazda. The interior is thoroughly impressive, very spacious with what looks like black and wood trim.
