The idea of good noise-cancelling headphones under $100 seems a bit far-fetched, and most pairs available for that little would probably be on the…lesser side of nice. But, thankfully for those of us on tight budgets, there really are a few good options out there. Case in point: the Anker Soundcore Space NC – a pair of wireless, noise-cancelling headphones you can usually snag for about $99 – that actually sound pretty good too.
While the Sound Space NC aren’t quite up to Bose or Sennheiser performance, they do deliver pretty good sound quality at a more-than-pretty-good price. The more discerning of us will likely be able to hear the difference between the two, but those with less-developed ears probably won’t care. The noise-cancelling is what they call Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling; they claim it can reduce ambient noise around you by up to 93%. We think that’s pushing it a little bit, and you’ll definitely find they aren’t as good as more expensive headphones. Cranked up all the way, you might even find the noise-cancelling dampens the music a bit, but considering the price tag, it would be slightly unfair to ask for much more.
They’re also pretty comfortable on your ears, as well – one of their major selling points. They use memory foam ear cups and on the ergonomic headband, to create something that is comfortable and easy to wear at all times. And battery life is super impressive, rated to come in at about 20 hours of wireless battery life and 50 hours of wired. If you can actually get that much playtime out of it…let’s just say we would definitely be impressed.
A travel case completes the setup and ensures your headphones are kept in good shape, all the time and wherever you are. If you’d like a pair of noise-cancelling headphones but don’t have a lot of money to spend on them, you could do a lot worse than these bad boys from Anker.
