Got a kid who’s just itching to get behind the wheel? They may need to be 15 or 16 to get a learner’s permit, but there is no reason you can’t go about giving them something to start learning the art of driving on early. That’s where those adorable little battery-powered trucks we used to ride as kids come in. And If your kid only rides in style, then there is only one ride that can potentially give them the style they need to ride in confidence. And that’s the officially-licensed McLaren 720S Ride On – a replica of the legendary supercar itself.
McLaren 720S Ride-On
What’s under the hood? A 12v electric engine (take that, Tesla) powered by a “gas” pedal that includes added engine noises (because as any 4-year old can tell you, half the fun of driving is revving the engine). It can even be controlled by remote control with three speed settings. EVA wheels and a Perfect Spring Suspension provide sporty handing on corners and…well, not really. And safety is paramount, of course, and the 720S includes a five point safety belt.
Oh, and because riding in style with your tunes is the best part of driving, this mini-electric supercar lets you play your own music via Bluetooth or USB connection.
Classic Supecar Looks. Bite-Sized Fun
The McLaren 720S comes in all the classic McLaren supercar-esque colors: Azores Orange, Belize Blue, Lantana Purple, Onyx Black, Mauvine Blue, Silica White, Saros Grey, and a special launch color option, the McLaren heritage hue, Papaya Spark.
Sure, they won’t learn the real rules of the road on one. Nor will learn to handle a 2000+ pound of steel hurtling down the road at 70 MPH. But they will have a roaring good time tearing up the pavement in the driveway. And the sidewalk. And the grass, if you’re not careful.
