Marshall is a legendary name in audio, for sure, but not usually for something like this. They are more known for their classic guitar amps and equipment, which they have been crafting for decades. But they did get into the home audio space in the last few years, with some impressive offerings. Looks like they’ve decided to take the next step and introduce a pair of noise cancelling headphones – the Marshall MID ANC.
The MID ANC have that vintage Marshall amp look, with vinyl leather and actual brass details, as well as a plush microfiber headband. They also feature Active Noise Cancelling, silencing all the sounds around you that don’t care about, and letting you focus on what you do want to listen to. It has Bluetooth connectivity with AptX technology, so you never have to mess with wires. And you can toggle the Active Noise Canceling on or off; On, and the built-in battery will last 20 hours. Off, and you can push out a full 30 hours of rich audio.
And speaking of audio, the MID ANC have 40mm dynamic drivers, giving it well-balanced, clear audio with just the right amount of bass to not overpower the rest of the sound.
You can recharge the MID ANC via USB, and they come with a sweet leather vinyl carry case. For $270 – about $80 less than any Bose or Sennheiser even Sony option – how can you complain? No wires, no distractions. Just plain good audio.
