Bose is Releasing New Noise-Cancelling Headphones 700

The Bose QC25 and QC35 have been the industry’s best noise-cancelling headphones for quite some time now. Looks like that’s about to change – because Bose is about to knock them off their perch with another pair of awesome headphones: the new Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700. These new-for-2019 noise cancellers take the same top-quality Bose technology and audio we all know and love, and combines them with a sleek new style and integrated smart assistant technology.

New Look, Same Great Bose Sound

The very first thing you will notice with the new 700’s is the sleek design. While the QC35’s are undeniably sleek and attractive, the 700’s have gone with a brand-new look that’s hipper, rounder and slimmer, and arguably and more modern. They look a little less “noise cancelling” and a little more “lifestyle.”

Intuitive touch controls – allowing you to swipe and tap to navigate playback and adjust volume – are built into the right earcup. The headband is a wickedly durable stainless steel (something only high-end headphones, like the PXC 550, tend to have) and is lined with soft foam padding for a pleasant experience. The angled earcups use synthetic “protein leather,” whatever that means.  (All we know is…they are super comfy).

Headphones 700: Updated Bose Tech

Bose noise-cancelling has always been excellent, but the new Noise Cancelling 700’s kick it up a notch. They have six integrated microphones to provide the best noise-cancelling experience possible, while also picking up voices incredibly intuitively. A beamform-array and rejection-array (whatever those are) work together, blocking ambient and loud noises in the background. These microphones also help with Bose’s new Conversation Mode, which helps make people speaking to you in loud environments clearer. There is also an enhanced hearing mode for all ambient noises.

Additionally, Bose integrated Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant right into the headphones, so you can access your favorite smart assistant with the built-in mic and through the Bose music app. Activate them by hitting a small button on the right earcup, along with the other controls.

And how’s the music quality? As good as ever, one can only imagine. And did we mention- they are entirely wireless, relying solely on the power of Bluetooth to deliver music from your phone to your ears?

New Bose Headphones Out this Summer

The Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 will be available at the end of June and carry an MSRP of $400. That’s roughly the same as the QC35’s.  We’re not sure if Bose sees a lot of competition popping up for this market and just want to get ahead. Or if they just wanted to shake things up a bit. But these new headphones are sure to solidify their place at the top of the noise cancelling niche.
