We all talk about how important it is to have a will of steel in your mental tool kit, but we’re to tell you that a Steel Will EDC knife is also a pretty good addition to your physical tool kit.
It’s not that there aren’t “any good water filters” out there, it’s just that many are difficult and time consuming to use. We really like Sawyer’s Squeeze, as well as the LifeStraw and even the Grayl. But the Outdoor Answer? That was new to us.

You need to be able clean and dress wounds and other injuries when medical attention can’t get to you, and in some cases, that could even require giving yourself stitches. A chore, which, to put it mildly, absolutely sucks. ZipStitch can make it easier.
The dawn of spring and the promise of an upcoming summer mean we’re dusting off some of the gear getting back out there. They also mean it’s time to upgrade some old pieces of gear to improve the kit for the upcoming season.
Is that Damascus razor you saw at the flea market really Damascus? There may be no way of knowing.
IceCo calls their new iFreezer the “Future Car Cooler.” It’s not the first smart cooler out there, but if you can afford the hefty asking price, is one of the “coolest”.

Last year, Ohio-based Allite announced what could be the next big thing in bikes: Super Magnesium, the alloy that’s 33% lighter than aluminum and as strong as carbon fiber. With bikemakers always seeking to make their frames lighter without compromising strength, a material with those properties could be a winning recipe.
Getting a good night’s sleep is vital for just about everything in life. Most of us have no problems sleeping the night through when we hit the hay, but there are those find getting their rest a bit more difficult.
Backpackers and campers seeking a lightweight, compact, portable grill have their pick of a number of options, from disposable bamboo grills to more conventional choices. But few are quite as ingenious and portable as BISON GEARS’ Rolling Grill.
If you missed the fact that Patagonia sells camping food, we’ll give you a pass; most people aren’t aware that Patagonia Provisions was launched in 2012, and the line of camping provision and now everyday food seems to keep flying under the radar.
Bikes that can convert from one use to another, already exist. But few do it as nimbly and easily as the Canyon Strive – which requires nothing more than the flick of a lever to let you instantly convert it from a 150mm downhill dweller to a 135mm XC racer.
For those who find sleeping on the ground rough, hammock camping can be a sublime experience; it gets you off the ground and into the air, and there’s something satisfying about falling asleep as your hammock rocks gently in the night breeze.
As you know, we’re big fans of unusual stuff – especially unusual stuff that serves at least some kind of purpose and comes with some cool features. The X Rocker video gaming chair is the perfect example.
For 2020, Range Rover’s offroad king is getting a (mostly internal) makeover, dubbed the SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition. They’re adding a turbocharged, 5.0-liter V8 engine that promises to pump out a non-insignificant 550 HP and 502 pound-feet of torque.
Just because the mercury has dropped below comfort levels doesn’t mean you have an excuse to stay inside where things are warm and cozy. No – a little cold weather isn’t enough to stop you from getting out on your bike and chewing up some concrete, or even hitting up the trails.
When you’re on the go – whether on a 30-mile hike or 80-mile bike ride - you need the right fuel in order to keep yourself up and running. And when you’re hungry or thirsty during one of those activities, you need that fuel to come quickly and conveniently – and without the junk found in so many energy bars and the insane amount of sugar in most sports drinks.
Jeans are often thought of as hot and heavy, but we all know that is no longer the case. Stretch jeans are all the rage – as are stretch pants of all kinds. But no one ever accused jeans of being weatherproof, at least until DUER introduced their new weatherproof jeans.
